Top city Law Firm urgently needs a part-time The Learning & Development (L&D) Assistant to join their busy and highly collaborative team. The role will form part of a job share with the

current L&D Assistant working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s a busy role where duties will include:-

  • Liaising with internal and external speakers to agree dates and arrangements
  • Booking rooms and making arrangements for catering, equipment and VCs
  • Sending targeted advertising emails and designing flyers for display to promote course bookings
  • Co-ordinating bookings using Outlook and an Excel spreadsheet
  • Responsible for setting up and managing the our Skills Academy programme using a newly implemented the LMS system.
  • Responsibility for managing Intranet admin, to ensure that that L&D pages are informative and up-to-date
  • Contribute to L&D Blogs and Discussions on the Intranet
  • Liaise with Compliance to schedule relevant courses
  • Record attendance at all compliance courses (e.g. AML, SRA Accounts Rules) on the Compliance spreadsheet
  • Process all payment requests, checking to ensure relevant approval has been obtained and all information on the form is correct and clear before scanning and sending to accounts for payment.
  • Liaise with speakers, book rooms, invite and remind attendees, organise
  • attendance registers and hand-outs, process evaluations for each of the
  • following:
  • Regular monitoring of the L&D inbox to ensure that all queries are addressed
  • on the day they arrive in the inbox
  • Any ad hoc duties that the Director of Knowledge and Learning & Development and/or the L&D Manager may require
