Investment Management - Funds Lawyer - 6 month contract
The Client:
Mid-sized global asset manager who is seeking a funds lawyer to work as part of a small central legal team. This Funds lawyer will look after the single manager and funds of hedge funds range for a period of up to 6 months.
The role:
The primary responsibilities of this funds lawyer will include;
- Provision of support for the design, development and launch of new funds and management of existing funds
- Review and/or drafting of Prospectus or Offering Memorandum and Memorandum and Articles
- Draft and negotiate IMA’s
- Assess relevant product-related regulation and legislation and apply as required
- Proactively build relationships with key stakeholders across the business, in particular in Product Development and Product Management and other areas in Distribution and Operations.
- Draft, negotiate an review commercial contracts as required
The Candidate:
The successful funds lawyer candidate will have
- 3* years PQE+ as a funds lawyer wither within Private Practice or In-house
- Experience of a range of fund structures including UCITS and AIFs
- Experience of fund launches and regulatory requirements
