Billing Manager - Legal 500 law firm - Central London
 
A Billing Manager position has arisen within a Legal 500 law firm just outside the City of London.
 
This practice has one of the most well-respected and largest legal-aid billing/costs departments in the country. They invest heavily in their IT/systems and processes and offer comprehensive training to their staff.
 
There is now an opportunity for to join and head a busy team of 5. You will be responsible for: day to day running of the team, Inter Partes bills (including negotiation), billing and managing high cost cases, monitoring WIP, processing all Legal Aid and private billing matters, and working with internal staff and third parties on billing queries.
 
To be successful in your application you will possess the following attributes:

• Previous experience in legal billing/costs, dealing with both private and Legal Aid matters - ESSENTIAL
• Able to supervise or have prior experience in a management role, including training of staff
• Have strong working knowledge of VAT and SAR's
• Able to work to deadlines
• Be a team player keen to join a firm with a similar ethos
