Marine/Shipping Lawyer - Top tier firm - Manchester

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced litigation Solicitor to join the Marine team of a well-regarded international law firm.

Our client is a Top 50 UK law firm with an outstanding reputation in insurance litigation work. They have enjoyed significant growth over the last few years and work with an impressive roster of clients from a network of offices across the globe.

Due to a sustained increase in instructions and panel appointments they are now looking to expand their Marine Litigation team in Manchester.

Forming part of a wider national team, the Marine department act for a wide range of clients including insurance and reinsurance companies, charterers, port operators and cargo owners, advising on a variety of matters including: arbitration, insurance, reinsurance, complex multi-jurisdictional litigation and subrogation. The work is extremely good quality with lots of opportunity for client contact.

They are looking to speak to qualified litigators, ideally with marine / shipping sector experience although that's not essential. If not, you will be either a commercial litigator, or working in commercial insurance litigation with an interest in focusing your career within this niche area. You will be responsible for running a caseload of your own matters under supervision and assisting on larger value cases for senior fee-earners. The work is diverse and high quality and there are excellent career prospects with the team and wider department.
