Market leading start-up law firm is looking to recruit a Practice Manager to work directly alongside the Managing Partner to take ownership of all Practice Management duties.  This position will form part of the Leadership Team and the firm is looking for an individual who can take a lead on matters in terms of identifying and  continuing business improvement, operational success, communication and staff awareness/wellbeing.  This role will encompass the day to day running of the full operation cycle of a law firm including Human Resources, Employee Relations, Operations, Business Development, Practice Support, Practice Development, Compliance, Recruitment, Budgeting and Vendor management however the firm is needing an individual who sees the bigger picture and is very much able to identify and implement Best Practice when and where necessary by taking ownership of certain projects and situations.  This firm is very much in the exciting stage where they are still developing and making a huge mark on the market and has already collected numerous awards both as a firm and individually.  The firm is not what is known as a traditional law firm, it is very modern and their working methods are unique to the market place.  Having moved in to new offices there are already projects that need to be undertaken so experience of leading vendor negotiations will be key, so previous relationships with third parties would be a huge bonus.  The firm is not necessarily looking for the ‘finished article’ in terms of applicant experience however someone bringing gravitas, ownership, forward thinking and enthusiasm to the role is key – experience that is essential will be having been in a management position at a law firm where you have been responsible for staff, office management and been involved in the financial budgets.  Candidates need to be degree educated with a commonsensical, constructive and improvement focused attitude to their work – ideally someone who is keen on to work in a high performing culture and find a firm they want to invest their own time and personality with.   Applicants need to have previous Practice Manager/Office Manager/Administrative Director experience
