This is a rare opportunity to become a member of the Viacom Legal team, one of the "Best Legal Departments" as recognised by Corporate Counsel Magazine 2016.
Key Responsibilities
- Helping develop and implement a global privacy program, including policies, guidelines, accountability and training, to guide business and legal teams in light of obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation;
- Managing and updating Viacom's cybersecurity governance program and incident response protocols in Europe;
- Partnering with deal and other teams to review, draft and/or negotiate privacy, cybersecurity and data-related contractual provisions and conduct vendor reviews;
- Partnering with product, data and technology teams or their lawyers to guide and review digital or data products and initiatives, including data collection, use, sharing, storage and retention practices and notices and consents.
- Act as point of contact for EU regulators and outside counsel
- Qualified to Practise Law in a European Union
- Extensive experience with E. privacy and cybersecurity laws, rules, regulations, self-regulatory regimes and best practices.
- Experience with E. to U. and other cross-border transfer mechanisms (e., EU-US Privacy Shield, Standard Contractual Clauses, etc.).
- Certified Information Privacy Professional Certification is strongly preferred
- Experience with privacy in the digital space, including online behavioural advertising also preferred
Required Experience
- Qualified to Practise Law in a European Union
