Senior Associate Solicitor - Travel Litigation

A Senior travel litigation lawyer is sought by this leading international law firm to work in their travel and insurance team in their Exeter office.

In this role you will :

• Advise and represent clients in travel litigation through litigation, arbitration or ADR on both claimant and defendant matters for both UK and foreign jurisdictional claims;
• Advise on contractual matters concerning insurance policies with an international focus;
• Expand the provision of travel and insurance litigation services nationally;
• Lead and proactively participate in business development initiatives, building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and market intermediaries;
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental meetings, training sessions and social events including travel to meetings or attending via video-con ensuring the Exeter team is fully integrated with the firm’s wider litigation departments in London and across the UK;
• Delegate client work to junior fee earners;
• Ensure files are managed in compliance with Lexcel.

Person Specification:

• Excellent technical skills and innovative approach;
• Strong client focus;
• Drive and enthusiasm and commercial awareness and credibility;
• Substantial client management experience;
• Proven track record in origination / business development.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Solid academic record;
• Be a qualified Solicitor with relevant PQE in advising a broad diet of travel litigation matters;
• Ability to manage files independently;
• Management and supervision of junior fee earners.

This role will focus on providing a first class service to clients, proactive marketing and profile raising and exceptional client management. You will have a clear track forward and will be well supported at partner level and by other fee earners and will oin a highly collaborative and collegiate culture.
