Compliance Officer required to undertake risk and compliance duties in a reputable practice.

Our client is a modern boutique law firm located in Stoke-on-Trent. The practice takes pride in exceeding expectations and providing highly skilled quality advice to its clients. They are now seeking a proactive Compliance Officer to undertake an interesting workload.
The Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a well-regarded practice in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. With previous experience within the legal framework, you will be well organised, undertaking various duties to include: maintaining and updating firms risk and compliance; providing training on SRA and internal compliance; leading firm in attaining Lexcel accreditation; ensuring compliance with WIQS practice management standards; reviewing monitoring and managing risks; keeping up to date with legislation and; assisting with day to day ad-hoc duties. Additionally, you will be conversant with Microsoft Office tool, and strong knowledge of AML regulations, code of conducts and the SRA regulations.
The successful Compliance Officer will communicate well both verbal and written and possess strong IT skills. You will also actively participate in business development and networking initiatives for the progress of the firm. The Candidate
A Compliance or Office Manager with a solid background in Risk and Compliance.
Experience in the legal framework would be highly desirable.
Additional knowledge of AML regulations, SRA regulatory and code of conduct.
Communicate well both verbal and written.
Have strong IT skills and familiarity with various software.
Possessing great organisational skills and a flexible approach to your work would be advantageous.
Able to supervise a team.
