Solicitor or Legal Executive - Real Estate Security

A Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Real Estate, Security is sought by this leading law firm to work in Exeter as part of a National team who act for Lenders, Investors and security trustees on all aspects of property work in relation to portfolio acquisitions and securing finance structures.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Involvement in property due diligence of acquisition of property portfolios, development and regeneration schemes;
• Advising borrowers and funders on charging of residential and mixed development sites;
• Assisting with property aspects of large scale capital markets issues and loan refinancing;
• Running smaller charging transactions;
• Overseeing junior colleagues on complex search results and Land Registry applications;
• Assisting on other Housing and Regeneration work, eg development;
• Active participation in marketing activities and building and maintaining effective client relationships;
• Managing files in compliance with Lexcel procedures;
• Participating in firm wide and departmental training;
• Training and developing junior legal staff, team assistant or PA.

Experience required:

• Excellent academic record and qualified as a Solicitor or CILEx;
• PQE in property development or security work, ideally had housing clients;
• Minimum of a seat in property work as a trainee or some banking experience;
