We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Sheffield based law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE to join their Wills, Trusts and Probate Team. You will work as an integral part of a team dealing with all aspects of wills, trusts and probate work. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective and professional relationships with clients.

Successful candidates will have the ability to build an external network beyond their clients and seek to be involved in marketing activities. You will need to demonstrate good technical knowledge of your area and have the ability to keep up to date with developments and industry issues.

Duties and responsibilities:

Drafting and advising on wills, both basic and those more complex involving trusts
Drafting and advising on both basic and more complex trusts, including those made by lifetime gift
Reviewing existing trusts and will statutes
Administering estates and trusts, including drafting trustee minutes and executor meeting minutes
Producing accounts for estates and trusts
Advising clients in correspondence and in person
Drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney
Advising in relation to care home fee planning
Running files involving the management of financial files where a partner or other fee earner is appointed as Attorney or Deputy
Completing applications to the Court of Protection
Promoting the private client practice with clients and contacts.
Attending networking events and actively marketing yourself and the firm in all aspects of business development online, through literature and in person
Skills and experience required:

3 years PQE in wills, trusts and probate
Full STEP qualification or working towards
Previous experience within a reputable law firm
The ability to work independently
Good team working and interpersonal skills
Willingness to develop and expand knowledge
Willingness to be actively involved in business development of the firm and the Wills, Trusts and Probate Team
Excellent relationship building skills and communication with the ability to communicate openly and clearly with colleagues and clients
Strong client management skills, professionalism and integrity

Salary and benefits:

£30,000 - £45,000 - salary is dependent on level of PQE, minimum of 3 years is required
