An excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer in this specialist area of law

The Firm
Our client has a long history in the South Yorkshire region with a sterling reputation for providing an excellent quality of service.  The firm’s success can be seen in the number of repeat instructions it receives including from second, third or even fourth-generation clients. Significant investment into the business over the years with a focus on recruiting outstanding individuals and investing heavily in training has resulted in rankings in the Legal 500 and Chambers Directory, making this one of the leading firms in the local region and the UK as a whole. Currently undergoing a period of growth and expansion, the firm is now offering an opportunity for a legal executive, solicitor or conveyancer to join the residential property department in the Sheffield office on a part-time basis, as part of the specialist enfranchisement team.

The Role
You will be joining the specialist team dealing with matters relating to enfranchisement and lease extensions. The team is instructed in a wide range of matters including the acquisition and disposal of freeholds, lease extensions and right to manage claims. Liaising with the property litigation department, you will be helping to develop this niche area of law and undertaking your own caseload of matters dealing primarily with enfranchisement work, from small flat conversions through to large apartment blocks.  This is a fast-paced and challenging environment and the firm is looking for a real team player with excellent client care skills to take on this demanding but very interesting role.

The Candidate
You will be a solicitor, legal executive or conveyancer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with outstanding technical skills in relation to this specialised area of law;
Possess excellent communication skills, able to explain complex matters in accessible language;
Be very well organised, with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management.
