The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Private Client to join a successful firm and lead its Private Client Department to ensure the delivery of organised, client-orientated, efficient and profitable legal services. Your duties will include: Wills; estate administration; trusts; tax planning; LPAs and; Court of Protection work. Therefore, the firm is looking for outstanding technical knowledge and experience in these matters. Business development is a key feature of the role where you will increase the volume of new high quality and profitable work through networking, advertising and marketing. You will undertake strategic reviews of the performance of the department and design and implement short, medium and long term plans for the improvement and growth of the department. Overall, you will manage and supervise other Private Client fee earners to ensure balanced distribution of work and achievement of billing and other performance targets. The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from Solicitors and Legal Executives with at least 8 years’ PQE in Private Client matters.
You will be technically skilled in all aspects of Private Client.
STEP membership and accreditation is required.
You will be able to demonstrate proven management and business development experience in a similar role.
The ability to manage your own varied caseload including work for high net worth clients is essential.
You will possess great communication and client care skills.
Commercial acumen will be a key attribute.
Overall, the successful Private Client Lawyer will be able to demonstrate a sense of urgency and the desire and skill to deliver work ahead of client expectations.
