An international law firm with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice are now recruiting a Paralegal to join their Litigation & Regulatory department on a contract basis until September 2018.

Recognised among the most innovative law firms in Europe by the Financial Times. The firm has significant international credentials in the global energy, infrastructure, financial services and advanced manufacturing and technology sectors.

The Belfast office focuses on with top quality local work and is involved in some of the biggest deals and transactions in NI each year. The firm are looking for someone to work alongside their trainee solicitors in supporting their lawyers.

Your new role

Working as part of the Trainee Solicitor group in the office, this role requires you to assist the lawyers and client teams in their provision of legal services and meeting the business needs of clients. The role will initially be based in Litigation with a possible move to another department over the summer months.

Typical duties include:

• Attending meetings and note taking
• Case support for partners and lawyers
• Research on behalf of partners and lawyers
• Managing and co-ordinating documentation on large scale projects
• Bundle preparation
• Researching case law, recent updates in law, obtaining specific documents
• Ensuring all lawyers are kept up to date with all that is happening on their cases at all times
• General administration tasks, filing and assisting lawyers, trainees and other paralegals with other ad-hoc duties

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications:

• Law degree or degree plus GDL, LPC or IPLS

Relevant Experience:

• Previous office experience required
• Previous experience of working in a professional services environment advantageous
• Previous paralegal/legal experience required
