Senior Funds Lawyer- Global Asset Manager, London
This global Asset Management business currently has assets under management in excess of £90 billion invested across both listed and unlisted Infrastructure, Real Estate, Fixed Income and Equities.
They are currently looking to recruit a Senior Funds Lawyer into their London Office to have responsibility for all non-investment transaction related legal work.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- All product related funds work such as fund set ups and restructures, drafting offer documentation and marketing materials
- Managing Segregated Mandates including negotiating Investment Management Agreements and handling all legal work that flows from it
- Provide advice on key regulatory developments to the business such as AIFMD and MIFID and communicate regulatory changes to key stake holders to enable compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure the business understands how laws, regulations and organisational standards apply to their area of work and operate within them
- Strong project and cost management of external legal providers to ensure quality and a cost effective service
Candidates sought should have:
- Strong project management skills
- First rate inter-personal and communication skills including the ability to deal effectively with multiple stake holders
- Commercial/business acumen with the ability to analyse issues quickly and present legal advice succinctly
- At least five years post admission experience gained from a leading Investment Funds practice and/or legal team within a large Asset Manager
- Strong knowledge of the European Funds Industry and Financial Services Law as it applies to the Investment Management Industry
- More senior candidates should be able to demonstrate leadership experience and capability as there is the opportunity to head the legal team in London
