Child Care Lawyer with panel membership required for this busy East London office.

Our Lexel-accredited client is a very well-respected firm with a national reputation for providing an excellent level of cost-effective client care, employing an array of specialist lawyers taking on a range of cases from the straightforward to the very complex. The firm has a strong team ethos and looks for outstanding technical ability and strong client care skills. A vacancy has now arisen for a Lawyer with a solid background in child care matters to join the team in the East London office.
The Role
This role is suited to an experienced solicitor or legal executive with the skills and expertise to deal with a comprehensive caseload of child-care issues within the family team. This might include grandparents’ right, child relocation, and parental responsibility matters. The firm also has considerable experience in representing clients who are abroad, such as in custody cases or regarding the issue of forced marriages. Our client has advised that Child Panel Membership will be essential. If you have a genuine passion for this field and are seeking a hands-on role with responsibility from the outset, this position is not to be missed.
The Candidate
The firm is looking for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive with a solid background in a similar role who can provide focused and detailed advice in language that is accessible and empathetic, explaining complex matters in a simple and effective way;
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years PQE and child panel membership;
With experience of dealing with all matters relating to child issues, including dealing with local authorities;
Works well as part of a team but is equally comfortable working on their own initiative;
Fluency in a second language would be useful, though it is not essential.
