Employment Solicitor

Our client are a leading law firm in the UK who provide legal advice and services to their Employment, HR and Health & Safety clients and they are looking for an Employment Solicitor to join their team in Chester.

As an Employment Solicitor, you will have a wide range of duties some of which include:

Advising Respondent's on every area of employment law, including all discrimination areas, harassment, unfair dismissal, redundancy procedures, TUPE transfers, breach of contract, wages claims, breach of working time regulations etc.
Drafting client contracts of employment, employment handbooks, bespoke policies and procedures and Settlement Agreements.
Defending Tribunal claims, including drafting ET3 responses, complying with Tribunal directions, negotiating with Claimant representatives and representing clients at Case Management Conferences.
Drafting Witness statements, counter schedules of loss and producing bundles for hearing.
Taking responsibility for own extensive Respondent case load.
Meeting KPI targets and working as part of a team with an overall aim to provide excellent client service.


The ideal candidate for this role should be able to demonstrate:

Having a least 2 years' PQE in the relevant field
Strong written and verbal communications skills to develop solid relationships with clients
Efficient time management skills
Passion for Employment Law
Have the ability to travel to the Chester office on a daily basis
