An excellent opportunity for a commercial lawyer has arisen to join a fast-growing and global B2B media/tech company who provide essential, market leading information to a specific industry sector.
As a strong commercial lawyer, you will negotiate and draft commercial contracts across the subscriptions, conferencing, sponsorship and marketing activities, as well as advise on related IP and data protection issues.
Working as a key member of the small legal team, you will apply your commercial skills in this varied and challenging position to take responsibility for managing risk to the business. You will liaise with external partners and internal staff, using your knowledge and judgment to pursue and resolve IP and commercial contract issues.
You will ideally be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 4 years' PQE as a commercial/TMT/corporate lawyer. You will need to possess a solid private practice training background from a top tier law firm and have some in-house experience. You will need to be confident in providing legal advice in a commercial environment, have strong drafting ability and have the interpersonal skills to communicate and negotiate with internal and external contacts. Experience with data protection and web-based content/licensing would be advantageous but is not essential.
