A globally-renowned international law firm is looking for a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their central Manchester office. This role is a full-time position but also offers flexible working with the option to work from home part-time, if necessary.
The Commercial Contracts Lawyer will have responsibility for managing and reviewing commercial third party supplier contracts for the firm, which will also include liaising with overseas entities and navigating cross border issues. The value of these contracts is very varied, and therefore the subsequent risks attached to each transaction is across a broad spectrum.
The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders across the firm to embed new processes and procedures for contract review and procurement. There will also be aspects of project management to this role, as the Commercial Contracts Lawyer will provide support on the implementation of processes, risk assessments, due diligence, training, implementation and embedding third party supplier management approach.
Ideal attributes include:
- Qualified lawyer, although exceptional experience without qualification will also be considered
- Extensive experience dealing with commercial contracts, including negotiating with third parties and redrafting terms
- Comfortable training other members of the team in commercial issues
- Personable and the ability to work as part of a team, including liaising with senior members of the firm and also managing junior colleagues
- Experience of working within a risk environment would be advantageous
