We are exclusively recruiting for a US based Fortune 500 company providing healthcare solutions on a global scale. The company is a world leader in their field.

Job:

The role is for a Senior Data Privacy Counsel who will be based in London and undertake all data privacy and GDPR across multiple jurisdictions. The role would be ideally suited for a lawyer who has a minimum of 2-5 years PQE and has prior experience of working in the healthcare sector. The role does require the candidate to have a thorough understanding of Data Protections laws and regulations. The role requires the candidate to have functional supervision over data protection officers across the globe.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement data protection policies and share best practices across various jurisdictions.
  • Perform audits in each jurisdiction
  • Be aware of changes in the local and international laws
  • Build and develop an international data protection framework
  • To provide privacy risk management advice, strategic guidance and consultation to other functional lanes including Compliance, IT and People Services (HR) Advising the International team on privacy risk and maintaining a privacy risk register
  • Perform audits in each jurisdiction to determine our compliance with local regulations
  • Develop and arrange for training on DP compliance for employees
  • Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance

The candidate should:

  • Be a qualified lawyer with experience of data privacy including GDPR with international experience from either a private practice background or in house international organization.
  • 2-5 years PQE as a guide, however more senior candidates will also be considered
  • Show proven experience conducting data privacy compliance audits and implementation of improvement plans.
  • Show a commitment to excellence, integrity, improvement, accountability, fulfillment.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
