Legal Counsel

LAW Absolute is currently working with a well-known retail brand, based in Hertfordshire, in their search for a Legal Counsel on a 12 month fixed-term contract.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, the role will focus on three primary areas – Data Privacy, Intellectual Property and IT & Digital agreements.

In addition, the role will also support on:

• Brand endorsement contracts
• Concession agreements
• Customer facing terms and conditions
• Termination and renewal of international franchise agreements
• Promotional terms and conditions
• Social media and marketing agreements
• Non-Disclosure agreements

The role will work with various other business functions including senior management, trading, IT, marketing, digital, procurement and some of the international teams.

Candidate profile:

• UK qualified Solicitor with upwards of 3 years PQE – having trained at a top commercial law firm or in-house team
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience on a broad range of commercial contracts (IT & Digital)
• Knowledge of DP, consumer, advertising and IP areas of law
• Solutions orientated
• Strong communication skills
