A prestigious US Law Firm is looking to hire a new BD & Marketing Manager to work predominantly within the Litigation and Cross-border teams on an initial 15 Month FTC. Responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of practice group business and action plans by coordinating and tracking the group’s efforts, monitoring and track plan implementation to ensure that deadlines are met and commitments are kept, identify, assess and coordinate conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, speaking and writing opportunities to ensure they are line with the goals of the practice, work with the marketing and communications team to develop, prepare and distribute brochures, advertisements, newsletters, and client mailings at the practice level, and promote exposure of the practice and individual attorneys, as appropriate, coordinate and implement internal and external practice events, with support from the marketing and communications team, prepare directory submissions for assigned practice groups, oversee and facilitate communication among and between the practices, request and disseminate research to teams on trends in the industry or area of law, manage client development expenses by practice group and prepare budgets, track and maintain transactions and cases for practice group for proposals, league tables, directory submissions. Other duties prepare proposals/RFPs/presentations in coordination with attorneys, keep track of pitch—wins and losses, ensure that the firm’s marketing materials are updated quarterly and appropriately reflect practice group experience and expertise, work with the research team to provide assigned practice groups with regular updates regarding new business opportunities, market trends and competitive threats, facilitate internal communication about successes and opportunities within and among the practice groups, utilizing communication vehicles, press clips, with the marketing and communications team to develop marketing messages, seminar ideas, media lists and opportunities, advertising and other marketing tools. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a Law Firm, two years at Manager level. Candidates need to have excellent written, oral and communication skills including strong writing and editing skills.
