This Senior Legal Counsel role will be responsible for a wide variety of legal work across the UK and the EU. This will include; general commercial contracts, licensing and intellectual property agreements, and compliance matters, developing training on legal issues for the business. The business has a fantastic reputation globally for being friendly and having a family atmosphere and is very focused on helping people to grow and develop within the business.
This position will be the business' first Legal Counsel role and will report directly into the General Counsel in the USA. They also support flexible working and there is potential to work from home when needed, and in addition, has an excellent benefits and bonus package.
For this role it is essential that you are a qualified commercial lawyer with experience either in private practice and/or in-house with a minimum of 7-10PQE. A background in commercial law within the energy sector would be ideal, but the client will consider Commercial Lawyers from other sectors also. Any exposure to litigation and compliance (Bribery Act, Modern Slavery Act, GDPR and the Companies Act) would also be highly beneficial.
