Based at their Head Offices in Luton you will provide key commercial legal advice to all areas of the business, liaising with senior management and oversees counsel as necessary.

The Role

Working within the commercial team you will take on a wide variety of commercial issues, including:

- Drafting, reviewing and advising on a variety of complex commercial contracts for all areas of the business, including the tour operator, retail, cruise, airline and UK based Group;

- Developing and updating precedents, procedures, policies and checklists to share best practice on legal matters across the business;

- Providing advice on regulatory matters to the business;

- Drafting, revising and advising on customer documentation, booking conditions, the A to Z, cruise conditions of carriage, flight conditions of carriage and website terms and conditions;

- Advise on marketing matters and investigating and responding to enquiries from the Advertising Standards Authority; and

- Providing general legal advice in response to ad hoc queries from other areas of the Group.

The Person

The successful lawyer will have strong commercial contracts experience and have the confidence and general commercial acumen to field queries from senior management. Experience gained in-house with a large company or UK arm of an international business would be preferred, or alternatively evidence of providing commercial advice to similar organisations whilst in private practice would also be beneficial.

This role would be well suited to a lawyer with experience of the travel sector and its regulations or alternatively as a step for a talented lawyer seeking to move into the travel industry.
