Public Law / Constitutional Law Associate NQ-5 – We have been instructed on an exciting and rare opportunity for an Associate who has a strong background in public law and judicial review to join the Liverpool team of this major national player based in Liverpool city centre.

• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: NQ-5 – ideally solid constitutional law experience eg handling judicial review. Also experience of work relating to the Human Rights Act, Equality Act and Freedom of Information Act – ideally with reference to the healthcare sector. However, a broad range of candidates will be considered at all levels.

A GROWING TEAM

This recruitment exercise forms a crucial part of the further growth of this established team which acts for a raft of key public bodies and institutions within the healthcare sector. The team is designed to advise on constitutional and public law matters which affect these bodies, such as judicial review, freedom of information and human rights as well as data protection.

The team will work with other departments within the wider healthcare group, providing an broad number of advisory and contentious services to an impressive list of major clients within the sector. The team also possesses considerable expertise in conducting high level inquest work.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate would be an Associate solicitor with anywhere from 0-5 PQE and with some proven experience of constitutional law and general governance. They may have gained their experience from working in private practice or working in-house within a local council or other such organisation. Perhaps you have dealing with freedom of information matters or human rights law.
