An award-winning Law firm is looking to hire a new Facilities Assistant to join the growing London office on a permanent basis, working the hours 10.30am – 6.30pm.  Responsibilities will include maintaining keys and key cupboard to ensure spares are kept, tidy furniture/FM store as necessary - keep inventory of furniture and components, conduct daily checks of the building for decoration and repair, report repairs required to the Facilities Manager, carry out decoration and repair tasks as instructed, including painting, take delivery of the Royal mail and DX and scan as procedures, frank outgoing mail, book couriers online, email staff regarding personal mail to be collected, open, sort and scan all matter related mail directly, collect and deliver documents and files to courts for hearings, deliver copier/printer paper to all areas, take delivery and stock all stationery cupboards, understand stock levels for stationery and replenish as required.  Other duties include monitoring the security system on a daily basis to ensure that this has not been breached by   unauthorised persons, issue and cancel security cards, change details and ensure temporary passes are returned, take photos and process security cards for new starters., call out and liaise with engineers when needed, carry out office moves/relocations as instructed, oversee any moves being undertaken by external contractors, carry out bi-monthly checks of the building and fire extinguishers, carry out inductions to new staff as and when required, ensuring they understand Health & Safety and manual handling policies and procedures, assist in setting up and reassembling of meeting rooms, seminar suite.  Candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience working within a Facilities team within a professional services organisation, preferably a Law Firm.  Candidates must have strong Microsoft Office skills along with advanced Communication and organisational skills.  Standard hours are 10.30am – 6.30pm.
