One of the world’s leading law firms is introducing a new 5* Concierge Team to support the internal staff and overseas visitors.  This team will be three in size and willl be responsible for ensuring queries and requests from internal clients are dealt with courteously and promptly. First impressions of the London Office will be driven by the friendliness and professionalism of the concierge desk.  The team will be a reference point for those people who need assistance or information about the London office or about the local area. This includes, yet now limited to, understanding nearby venues (such as restaurants, wayfinding around London) and having the ability to make suitable recommendations.  You will be in a position of responsibility of promoting the London office and the firm to everybody in the office at any time – where you have a passion for understanding and responding to people's needs and providing an efficient, trouble-free and courteous service. You will need to be an outstanding communicator with high levels of interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively liaise with partners, staff and visitors at all levels.  Duties will include welcoming people when they arrive or liaise with the Concierge desk, provide a wayfinding service to existing staff, new employees and international visitors from other offices, answer internal telephone calls promptly and professionally using the agreed salutation, directing all calls to the relevant person and taking messages where necessary, perform regular internal meeting room checks – removing water glasses/ tea cups that have been left behind and take to the tea points to be cleaned, assist with floor management – on a rota basis with the Concierge Assistants walk round at the start and end of the day (as well as during the course of the day) to ensure desks are clear and the space is kept tidy.   Working with the Departmental Supervisors and Team Managers to ensure clear desk policy and clear working environment is adhered to - Reporting any concerns to the Office Manager/ Global Head of Facilities and Logistics.   This includes ensuring cupboard tops are kept tidy and checking there are no boxes or files left lying around the office, keeping admin and copy rooms tidy on floors and replenish stationery in these areas as required.  Additionally you will need to understand what requests can be managed, executed by the Concierge Desk and what needs to be delegated to other departments, the Concierge Desk is ideally going to become a ‘one-stop’ shop for immediate client facing requests where simple or even with high expectancy can be undertaken and communicated efficiently so you become an extension of the client.  Previous concierge experience would be hugely beneficial be it from working in a 5* hotel or from a luxury membership card company (Amex or Coutts etc.) or should have someone have worked at a 5* or private airline looking after VIP guests and has a huge understanding of client service – being able to communicate with your clients so they are always happy with the service and understand the realities of deliverables or have worked on Front-of-House/Reception at a law firm and are wanting to transition in to a more concierge role.  Fluent in the English language is essential as is a proactive, passionate and professional attitude to your work.  In this job there is such a huge scope to expand and develop your own knowledge of the firm and of London.  Standard hours for the Concierge Assistants will be 9am to 5pm and/or 10am to 6pm.
