This brilliant organisation has a respected legal function, indispensable to the rest of the company.
Your new role
A corporate energy focused position reporting directly into the General Counsel, as part of a team of three lawyers. You will work as a generalist on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, capital market deals and finance documentation, while also drafting industry specific commercial agreements such as drilling contracts. Further, you will establish yourself as a trusted business advisor, supporting on matters like company secretarial filings, governance, the company' global compliance programme and other generalist matters.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified lawyer from the UK or another common law jurisdiction, with 5+ years' PQE. You will have trained at a reputable City firm, with strong corporate background in matters like M&A, joint ventures and inter-company transactions. While energy experience is not a pre-requisite, any relevant exposure would be greatly welcomed, as would in-house exposure. You will have exceptional commercial intelligence and strong technical ability, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
