A leading US law firm are seeking a senior Business Immigration Lawyer in London.

Your new company
A leading international US law firm is seeking a Business Immigration Lawyer to join its Employment and Labour practice team in London. Truly global in nature, their London office brings together a team of UK and US qualified lawyers who speak numerous languages. They provide a full range of services to both local and international clients, offering focused and commercial legal advice. The firm's client base spans every type of business, both private and public, worldwide. They advise a diverse mix of clients, from Fortune 100 and FTSE 100 corporations to emerging companies and from individuals to local and national governments.

Your new role
You will work largely on Tier 2 applications as well as family and EEA related matters and some Tier 1 (both investor and entrepreneur) ones. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in general compliance and right to work issues as well as the project management of non-UK immigration applications, working with lawyers across the firm's wider network. The team is very client-orientated, with a real focus on business development, so you will have the opportunity to hone your marketing skills too.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need strong academics (2 or higher degree) and 4-7 years post qualification employment and business immigration practice experience in the UK. You will have an excellent technical and practical knowledge of the Points Based System and relevant legislation. You will have dealt with Tier 2 applications extensively, including complex cases and high volume clients. You will have experience of advising on family and EEA related applications as well as general compliance and right to work issues. A good understanding of the current immigration implications of Brexit is also important. Experience of Tier 1 (both Entrepreneur and Investor) and Tier 4 matters will be an advantage. You will have a natural drive for business development with current and potential clients, an entrepreneurial flair and the ability to capitalise on marketing opportunities.

What you'll get in return
The firm offers a vibrant and supportive working environment built upon its core values; they are approachable, responsive, trustworthy and straightforward. They pride themselves on high quality client instructions, are committed to investing in the learning and development of their lawyers and support staff at all levels, and encourage their lawyers to build relationships and take part in business development opportunities.
