Our client is a leading Wiltshire based firm which is long established and highly regarded in a number of practice areas. This full service law firm operates from 2 bases with over 100 staff.

Your new role
You will be joining one of the leading teams within the firm, the insurance litigation team. This team undertakes a range of work primarily defending claims bought against local authorities and other public bodies such as the police and fire service in the local area as well as nationally. The team also act on behalf of commercial clients and therefore the team individually and collectively deal with a wide range of claims.

Boasting rankings in both Chambers&Partners and the Legal 500, you will be joining an excellent team with varying levels of experience and expertise.

You will be coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team whilst managing your own caseload and inputting your ideas to improve service.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced litigator with at least 6 years post qualification experience ideally gained within a defendant team. You should have experience in working within the public sector such as social services, EL/PL, Human Rights etc.

Whilst my client appreciates the successful applicant will probably not have experienced all of the above areas - an experienced litigator with an in depth knowledge about local authority and public sector work.

You will be able to demonstrate the ability to tackle often unpleasant and emotional cases whilst having a flexible approach to work and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen whilst providing a first rate service to the client.
