THE ROLE

This is a visible role with regular interaction with senior investment bankers and management offering genuine global dimension to the remit, as well as substantial autonomy and responsibility.

The environment is fast paced and therefore requires a person who can deal with pressure, can commit to deadlines and work at a good pace.

The primary focus of the role is the Group's debt and equity capital markets teams in London, including the power, energy and infrastructure banking team.

The role will also cover other offices and workstreams, depending upon the Group's requirements at any particular time.

Based in London, you will report to the lawyer responsible for the wider team in the EMEA region in London.

ABOUT YOU

Your previous experience will enable you to handle a caseload comprising:

Equity - assisting the investment banking team by reviewing and negotiating agreements in relation to primary and secondary offerings by corporate clients of the London office.

M&A - assisting the investment banking team by reviewing and agreeing engagement letters in relation to M&A mandates awarded to the team.

M & A - periodically assisting the Group's M & A activity as part of a team, including confidentiality, SPA and related documents.

Projects - periodically advising on corporate projects, which may include new offices, reorganisations and joint ventures.

An England & Wales qualified lawyer c 4-6pqe ideally with experience of working within the investment banking sector, although the team would also consider candidates with other relevant in house or private practice experience.

Able to deal with competing demands you will have the ability to work both autonomously and with others in a small team.

This is a visible role with very close interaction with other departments both in the front and back office.

Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. Please note our advertisements use PQE levels purely as a guide to the minimum level of experience required. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfill this kind of work.
