In-house Lawyer, 1-4 PQE FTSE 100

Fantastic opportunity with a multinational, FTSE 100 listed business for a lawyer with 1 - 4 PQE to join an expanding and long established legal team to focus on a diverse range of legal issues.
Our client is a leading business based in the West Midlands which is seeking a dynamic in-house lawyer to join their legal team. Reporting directly into the Head of Legal, you will have a varied role where you will provide support to a number of areas across the business.
It is envisaged that this position will be varied in nature and there will be opportunities to develop your career and skills on a medium to long term basis. You will work closely with commercial colleagues providing excellent legal advice and contribute to the success of the business, advising on commercial legal issues across areas such as:
- Commercial contracts, procurement, bids, tenders, IT/IS projects and infrastructure projects;
- Customer matters working closely with the customer team to help resolve incidents;
- Employment matters - you will have the opportunity to work with the senior employment lawyer and external lawyers on issues such as tupe, grievances;
- Data protection; and
- Disputes and significant insurance claims.
This role would suit a lawyer who is either currently working in private practice and is looking to make the move in-house or a current in-house lawyer who is looking for a broad commercially focused role, more responsibility and a challenge within a large FTSE listed business. We are keen to hear from junior to mid level lawyer with experience gained in commercial, regulatory, commercial disputes or employment specialisms. The successful individual will be an integral part of the legal team and will be required to be a good team player and have excellent communication skills to effectively lead on strategic projects.
