Award-winning and globally recognised Biotechnology Company currently seeking talented Commercial Contracts Manager.
The Firm
Our client is an award-winning Biotechnology company headquartered in Cambridge, UK with a global presence across the US, Europe and APAC regions. Using proprietary gene-editing platform and deep scientific expertise, they design and engineer genetically-modified cells that are applied in research and clinical applications. Their rapidly growing product catalogue, service offering and research programmes are powering progress to understand the genetic drivers of disease and ultimately advance human health.
The Role
You will be working in one of the leading life science companies in Cambridgeshire, and as such can expect a particularly interesting range of work. Managing own caseload, you will be reporting to the Global Head of Customer Service. The successful candidate will acts as a point of contact between the sales and legal teams internally and will communicate directly with Customers as required to monitor, progress and complete contract discussions. You will conduct reviews of contract and agreement proposals, redlining Customer templates as necessary to ensure compliance and appropriate guidance to Business Development and Key Account Managers to resolve areas of contention.
In addition, you will be required to gain a very thorough understanding of the products and processes, so an interest in science is essential, and a degree or practical experience would be highly advantageous.
The Candidate
Applications are welcome from candidates with bachelor’s degree in Law, equivalent experience of commercial contracts with up to date legal knowledge, or appropriate conversion course (Graduate Diploma and Legal Practice course).
Previous experience of Commercial Contract work gained within a reputable company or law firm.
Excellent English skills in both written and verbal communications.
Enthusiasm and a willingness to engage with customers.
