Leading US law firm based in the heart of the City is looking to hire a new Professional Support Legal Assistant for their Disputes team working three practice groups International Arbitration, Commercial Litigation and White Collar Crime assisting the Professaional Support Counsel and Lawyers.  Duties will include to provide support in respect of the training programmes run by the group and the International Arbitration Oral Advocacy Course, supervise contributions to and assist in editing the group’s internal legal update bulletin, conduct research on legal developments or new areas of law relevant to the group, support London client facing coordinator role, including tracking and recording firm publications and London presentations, provide direct support to individual practitioners to assist them with locating practice-related internal and external knowledge resources, ensure the three practice groups Knowledge Banks are kept up to date by profiling and uploading contributions from legal staff and managing the process of obtaining document profiles from others and encourage legal staff within the group to submit useful and relevant documents, support and help to implement group projects, in particular in relation to e-disclosure, costs budgeting, disputes technology and thought leadership initiatives and provide other knowledge support to the group as may be assigned by the PSLs or the London Litigation/Arbitration/White Collar partners.  Applicants need to have very high professional standards, strong attention to detail, excellent written and research skills, well-developed organisational and communication skills and be pragmatic, self-motivated, flexible and able to work both in team and individually as required.  Applicants need to be degree/LPC educated and it would be a huge bonus should you have already secured a Training contract for 2019/20 with at least 12 months professional support or transactional paralegal work where you have undertaken research duties.
