Legal Counsel

A unique opportunity has arisen at a UK Commodities Trader, who are looking to grow their in-house team and appoint a Legal Counsel.

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of the Group's financings; including uncommitted bilateral facilities, asset backed borrowing base facilities and other general trade finance. This position also offers exposure to a broad range of areas in support of global business activities.

The role offers a high degree of senior management and commercial exposure with close working relationships with the (i) CFO and finance team, (ii) Strategy Director and (iii) the various lenders to the Stemcor Group.

This opportunity will suit a private practice or in-house lawyer looking for a varied workload and career progression within a successful, global organisation.

A finance lawyer with experience in trade finance, borrowing base and asset­backed lending structures, as well as cross border experience is highly desirable.

To be considered you will ideally have between 2 - 6 years' PQE and be qualified to practice in England & Wales.
