Funds Lawyer

Due to continued growth in its business this European Asset Manager is looking to recruit a Funds Lawyer into its London team.

Description

Working closely with a senior funds lawyer you will be responsible for:

• Working with the client service, fund groups and sales teams across mainly in the UK but also across Europe to assist in: (i) distributor on-boarding including analysis and documentation of distributor relationships; (ii) assisting client service teams with day to day queries regarding client investments; (iii) on-boarding of funds for distribution within the company's platform;
• Dealing with regulatory matters and liaising with the relevant regulators;
• Dealing with external counsel;
• Provide any assistance and support as necessary to the central legal team;

The role is suitable for a candidate looking for a significant level of responsibility and front line business interaction within an innovative, busy and varied working environment.

Profile

The successful candidate is likely to have prior experience from a financial services team in a top tier law firm or equivalent in-house experience. Areas of expertise in some of the following areas are desirable:

• UCITS experience
• Familiarity with fund documentation
• Distribution regulation
• Commercial contracts

Because this role is supporting a senior funds lawyer in London it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be around 2 - 5 PQE, however, this is a guide only and candidates with more or less experience who feel that they may be suitable are encouraged to apply.

A six figure overall package comprising of a good basic salary + benefits + discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
