Corporate Solicitor

Our client is a strong Commercial Leeds firm and they are looking to expand the corporate team.

The company commercial department consists of Commercial, Corporate, Finance, Intellectual Property, Public Sector and Tax. Solicitors are able to rotate between specialisms, ensuring they work with all partners and associates on a variety of deals. Our team has a wealth of experience and ambition, with our pure Corporate team currently consisting of 5 partners and 13 solicitors.

In addition to an impressive client list and high quality work, our solicitors have early responsibility for their own clients and deals, safe in the knowledge that support is there if needed. We offer excellent training programmes, through a combination of weekly in-house training sessions and structured programmes delivered through external providers.

• We advised the commercial real estate investment company, Custodian REIT Plc, on its £45 million fundraising on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market.
• We advised Bufab AB (a Swedish listed company) on the SEK 310m purchase of Apex Stainless Holdings Limited.
• We advised Endless on its backing of the MBO of Imtech UK and subsequent acquisition of the Irish arm, Imtech Suir. Imtech UK and Imtech Ireland, between them, turnover circa £450m.
• We advised UK-based technology group, Servelec Group plc, on its proposed acquisition of the Synergy business from Tribal Education Limited for £20 million.

Key areas of our work include: mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), flotations and other equity fundraisings (both on the full list and on AIM), private equity transactions, joint ventures, capital reconstructions and reorganisations.

We are looking for a confident, driven solicitor with experience of working on high calibre corporate transactions who wants to develop their technical and commercial skills further through working on a wide range of quality transactions.

3 yrs+ PQE (but will consider anyone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge we are looking for).
