Associate General Counsel (m/f)

Our client is a world leading US company operating internationally with a top level in-house legal team spread across the globe. They are now seeking to recruit an experienced litigator with US exposure as Associate General Counsel to join their international legal team. This position can be based internationally in Europe.

Reporting directly into the General Counsel in New York, you will be part of a small litigation team and will be focussing managing the Firm's involvement in litigation and government investigations. You will be involved in all upcoming litigation matters on an international level, will develop overall strategy, scoping internal fact-finding, ensuring compliance with document discovery obligations, preparing witnesses for external interviews and depositions and advising internal clients on litigation risks. Furthermore you will provide support on internal investigations and partner with other lawyers as well as the business as needed.

You are an outstanding lawyer (US qualification would be ideal but any European qualification will be considered) with at least eight years post-qualification experience in litigation matters gained in a top international law firm or in an internationally operating company. You will have had some exposure to litigation in the United States. You are a strong self-starter, an excellent communicator and team player. You are very good in influencing people and building relationships on all levels. Excellent business acumen is a prerequisite. Fluency in English is mandatory.
