Assistant Management Accountant Sheffield £20,000 to £25,000 plus benefits
CRA Financial are delighted to be working with a leading law firm in Sheffield as they are looking to recruit an experienced assistant accountant.
The role is to work as an Assistant management accountant. The right candidate will be AAT qualified and will have some practical experience, although not necessarily within a legal environment. There is an opportunity for support to study CIMA if the candidate wishes.
The Role
Working in this varied role and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for :
Assisting with the production of month end accounts
Management of the fixed asset register, prepayments and vehicles on hire purchase Payroll and associated activities VAT returns
Preparation of Payroll journals, payments and reporting
Cash flow reporting including reconciliation of the accounting system balance
Credit control including chasing debtors
Budgets and re forecasts
The Person
It is likely that you will have a proven track record of working in an accounts role with a minimum of three to four years practical experience. You will be highly analytical and demonstrate you have advanced excel skills. You will also be an excellent communicator. Previous experience of working in a legal environment would be ideal but not essential.
