Legal Adviser - Insurance - 6 months ftc Governance/Commercial

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Advisor to join the Governance department of a leading, global insurer based in the City of London to assist with the provision of in-house legal advice, working closely with the In-House Commercial Solicitor and the business. 

Key responsibilities:

• To ensure all outsourcing third party contracts are reviewed and negotiated where appropriate, and that contracts are worded appropriately 
• Responsible for updating and maintaining the legal contract
• To assist with data protection registrations 
• Reviewing and approving non-disclosure agreements
• Liaising with external lawyers where appropriate 
• Assisting with ad hoc projects

Experience and skills required: 

• A legal qualification is essential 
• Experience of dealing with all types of commercial services 
• An understanding of data protection law
• Excellent communication skills 
• Teamwork skills
• Building and maintaining relationships 
• Analytical skills
