Your main role will be to provide legal services and advice to the Bank's specialist business platform, with the prime focus on supporting the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be advising on regulatory, reputational and legal matters with a key focus on UK international custody, depositary and fund management services.

Duties:

  • Negotiate client and sub-custody contracts.
  • Assess relevant regulatory issues and assist in implementing regulatory change.
  • Monitor and address emerging legal/regulatory issues.
  • Managing the quality and cost of external counsel.

Requirements:

  • English-qualified lawyer, fluent in English.
  • Experience working at a major law firm with a solid background in contract law.
  • A strong background in financial services.
  • Experience working as In-House Counsel with a major financial institution.
  • Experience working on regulatory matters and related issues.
