Legal Cashier - Temporary Contract

My client is currently recruiting a full time Legal Cashier to join their busy accounts team to provide an efficient service to all employees and to input all daily financial transactions promptly and accurately, to ensure all firm's records and comply with SAR.

Primary duties include:

- Processing daily all payments, receipts and transfers and carrying out day end balancing procedures.

- Dealing with daily banking.

- Dealing with daily automatic cheque run.

- Maintaining VAT records.

- Assisting staff with accounts queries.

- Dealing with payments out of petty cash.

- Processing debit and credit card transactions.

- Checking and processing bills.

Assisting with Purchase Ledger.-

The ideal applicant will possess good keyboard skills and should be a team player, honest and trustworthy, accurate and be methodical in their working methods and be able to remain calm and patient when working under pressure.

Desirable key skills and experiences:

- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Legal Cashier in a solicitor's practice.

- Fast and accurate typing at least 40+ wpm.

- Confident in use of email and other systems in daily work.

- Knowledge of law and legal procedures.
