My client, a highly regarded and market leading FMGC plc has approximately 2,000 branches and stores across 21 market leading businesses. Their In-House legal department, which was recently shortlisted in The Law Society Excellence Awards for the In-House category, is looking to appoint a commercially minded solicitor to complement the established and well regarded team.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Legal Services, the position requires a client facing, communicative and approachable commercial lawyer, to provide commercial and pragmatic legal advice to support and mitigate the risks of the Group's commercial and divisional functions.

You'll need to be a confident solicitor with a demonstrable desire to work In-House who can provide clear, commercial legal advice to all levels of management on legal issues and the legal aspects of business problems. Working proactively with the necessary stakeholders, to mitigate risk to the business whilst meeting commercial objectives.

You will be expected to establish strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, appreciating different audiences, resolve complex contract negotiations both creatively and commercially, balancing legislation, risks, varying interests and revenues etc. Any exposure to regulatory work/issues is desirable. Candidates with a commercial background and experience of contracts negotiation are welcome to apply.
