My client, a renown Innovative Company with a Global presence have instructed EAC Legal to recruit an In-house Counsel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a private practice solicitor to go In-house!

You will be assisting the Global Head of Legal in supporting the Company’s projects and provide legal advice on current and upcoming services that the Company wishes to provide.

The role is diverse and challenging, covering multiple legal matters with a bias in Intellectual Property. You will be part of an internationally focused team, which means you will gain wide experience across different geographical markets and legal matters.

Duties include:

  • Provide high quality legal advice to the company on contractual and legal matters across the business
  • Support the Global Head of Legal in running of the Legal Department and in provision of Legal advice to the Board and business units as required
  • Provide timely, skilled and accurate drafting, review and negotiations of a wide variety of commercial agreements including Licences
  • Providing swift, accurate and on point commercially appropriate legal advice to senior management on various aspects of Global Law
  • Development of knowledge and understanding of the Company’s products and services,
  • Build strong relationships with all business units, finance, and operations teams, as well as external counsel where required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister or equivalent;
  • Have a minimum of 3 yrs PQE experience in Commercial Law
  • Private practice or in an in-house team in the U.K – of particular interest are candidates who are currently in private practice and wish to make a move in house.
  • Have experience with multi-jurisdiction law and/or small public company environments.
  • Have solid hand on experience of negotiating, drafting and advising clients on commercial contracts, including multi-jurisdictional transactions.
  • Have a record of providing advice in relation to contract, commercial, and IP law
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to forge strong relationships with those at all levels of the business including the Board of Directors
