Civil Liberties Solicitor/Supervisor - East London

A senior Civil Liberties Solicitor with particular experience handling actions against the police matters is required for the London office of a growing Legal 500 firm.
 
The firm opened their East London office relatively recently but have significantly developed their presence in the London market over the last few years; so much so they have recently obtained a number of new Legal Aid contracts.
 
As a result a Supervising Solicitor recognised as such under the Legal Aid Agency is needed. With plans for expansion, this is an opportunity to join and personally drive the development of the department.

To be considered for this role, you must be:

• An experienced Solicitor already working as a Legal Aid Supervisor or able to take on this position in the next couple of months
• Experienced in handling cases surrounding - complaints to the police and other relevant authorities; judicial review matters; claims for assault or unlawful or excessive force; and human rights claims amongst others
• A strong communicator able to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds
