Revenue and Credit Controller

We are looking for an talented Revenue / Credit Controller with Legal experience to join a prestigious London based law firm. 

Our client is a law firm with offices located in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Their aim is to become the leading Law firm combining specialist business law and private wealth advice internationally. They have over 1000 staff, which includes over 150 Partners and approximately 40 employees within the Finance team.

Responsibilities: 

Revenue Control

• Reviewing aged work in progress and meeting with designated partners. 
• Working alongside heads of department to gather accurate monthly billing forecasts.
• Producing reports and analysis of billable time.
• Reviewing and updating WIP provision on a monthly basis
• Assisting with the preparation of spreadsheets for the valuation of work in progress in accordance with FRS5

Credit Control

• Taking responsibility for all outstanding debts of assigned business division.
• Identifying and escalating potential problem debts to the Head of Revenue and Credit Control.
• Reviewing and updating bad debt provision on a monthly basis
• Regularly updating Partners and Fee Earners, ensuring that all queries are addressed

Billing Process:

• Prompt and accurate production of all bills submitted for processing
• Preparing full and partial credit notes
• Ensuring that all bills are sent out as soon as possible after they have been processed

Candidate Profile: 

• Revenue and credit control experience within the legal sector. 
• Knowledge of CMS or Elite would be an advantage, but training will be given.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Conscientious and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
