We are looking for an enthusiastic Practice & Billing Coordinator to provide management support to the Technology Companies Practice Group at a leading international law firm

My client is one of the world’s largest law firms; they currently operate from over 35 offices globally and employ nearly 3500 Lawyers.

Their London office has first rate working conditions with plenty of light & space. They also have an on-site fitness centre, staff restaurant and one of best benefits packages in London.

 

Responsibilities:

Practice Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Client related and client facing activities include:
    • Liaising with clients on all matters relating to billing, including Accounts Receivables.
    • New Client and Matter Openings including initiating conflicts searches and obtaining (and initial review of) anti-money laundering documentation.
    • Producing initial drafts of engagement letters and ensuring engagement letters are sent to clients.
    • Conduct client reviews verifying client/matter arrangements.

Billing Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with the Finance Department on behalf of members of the Practice Group in relation to billing matters, including producing pre-bills and bills on matters in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating with members of the Practice Group in relation to billing matters, including:
    • Producing pro forma bills to discuss with partners /fee earners at weekly meetings.
    • Generating weekly and monthly updates of WIP and AR to be reviewed and discussed, as well as meeting with Partners on a regular basis to discuss WIP and AR and ensuring Partners are aware of any fee alerts and billing arrangements on the matters.
    • Regularly chasing fee earners for time sheets to ensure all time is captured.

Candidate Experience: 

  • At least 3 years finance experience
  • Knowledge of CMS/Aderant is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Clear diction, good vocabulary, excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a pleasant working relationship with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent organization and follow through.
