Childcare Lawyer

Childcare Lawyer required for an initial 3 month period, with a possibility for extension, to join a local authority based in Sussex.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer who is able to start immediately and confidently manage their own caseload. Caseloads will be of varying complexity; including cases such as fabricated illness and medical issues. Other duties will include:

• Undertake a mixed caseload of pre proceedings and cases in court
• Attend legal planning meetings
• Undertake own advocacy such as case management hearings and contested ICO hearings

The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or legal executive.

Candidates with local government experience is desirable, however those from a private practice background are encouraged to apply. In return, there may be some element to work from home and offer flexible working hours for the right candidate.
