One of the world's most renowned cloud technology providers now seeks a pragmatic technology lawyer to support the Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams with the negotiation process of multi-million pound deals. This organisation is regarded as one the world's best places to work, that purely recruits talent based on experience and skills; with an in-house legal team admired for hiring exceptionally gifted transactional lawyers. This legal team is passionate about employing a diverse workforce which is paramount to their continuing success.
They require a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel (ideally 8 yrs+) with some evidence of Cloud Computing and SaaS. In addition, a Legal Counsel with 2-4 yrs PQE is also required to support the commercial team. Candidates must have strong transactional backgrounds, with familiarity of working on IT/technology transactions.
The Role
The Senior Counsel will act as the primary lawyer for all transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals and provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation for senior executives and other business team members. The Senior Counsel will report to the Head of Legal (EMEA) and support the US Team on new business initiatives which are being launched in the UK and Ireland, these transactions range from standard contracts to complex, high value agreements.
The Legal Counsel will assist the Senior Counsel and will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on strategic technology service. As part of your role you will be expected to participate in other legal projects as directed, including the administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have gained legal experience from a leading international law firm along with a credible in-house legal career or in-house secondment focusing in IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications or cloud computing services, EU data protection is advantageous. Candidates MUST have strong academics with a passion for innovative technology and enjoy working in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Candidates MUST have minimal job moves and training from a US/UK (ideally magic circle firm).
