An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Professional Development & Training Advisor to join the London office of a successful and progressive US law firm. You will work as part of a team which provides skills training and development for all lawyers and business support staff. Key responsibilities for the Professional Development & Training Advisor will include:
- Scheduling training sessions and liaising with external training suppliers
- Maintaining training sessions and records, liaising with US colleagues
- Liaising with practice areas to provide support in the delivery of technical training to the teams
- Administration of cross-departmental training and inter-office training
- Working with Secretarial Manager, Training Manager and other stakeholders to coordinate delivery of skills training to Secretarial population
- Researching external training conferences and seminars
- Working with manager to prepare the annual budget process
The ideal candidate for the Professional Development & Training Advisor role will have previous Learning & Development experience from a professional services firm, with Law firm experience being strongly preferred. You must have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to multitask with minimal supervision. Knowledge of e-learning content creation tools (such as Articulate and Captivate) is highly desirable. A proactive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team is a must.
