The Role
We are now actively seeking a dedicated Mental Health Paralegal or Junior Solicitor for a specialist department in London. A member of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Scheme, the successful Solicitor or Paralegal will run a complex and challenging caseload, providing advice and representation to patients and their relatives with minimal supervision. Areas may include: attending Hospital Managers hearings and Tribunals; advising on issues with treatment and care plans; representing clients detained under the Mental Health Act; applications for judicial review; appeals and; unlawful detention. Outstanding client care skills and the ability to build strong relationships based on trust will, therefore, be essential for this position. The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Junior Solicitor or Paralegals with solid experience in Mental Health;
Membership of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Scheme will be essential;
